• Corporate Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and onboard new corporate clients (treasurers, CFOs, pension fund committees) to expand the firm’s AUM.

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA, or treasury-related certifications (e.g. CFA) is a plus.

1. Ophthalmology-Focused R&D Leadership

• Provide scientific and strategic leadership for pipeline programs in ophthalmology, from early discovery through IND-enabling studies and clinical trials.

• Build and lead a multidisciplinary R&D team with expertise in ocular biology, pharmacology, formulation science, and drug delivery.

Oversee formulation development, ocular pharmacokinetics, and preclinical safety /toxicology studies relevant to ophthalmic drugs.

• Coordinate with clinical consultants to ensure translational alignment for ophthalmic indications (e.g., AMD, DME, DR, GA, RVO).

2. External Partnership & Regulatory Interface

• Serve as the primary interface with CROs and CDMOs for ocular CMC and preclinical studies, ensuring ophthalmology-specific requirements are met (e.g., ocular toxicity, rabbit studies, IVT injection protocols).

• Ensure compliance with ICH and local regulatory requirements (e.g., NMPA, FDA) for IND submissions and ongoing clinical support.

• Lead integrated program planning across internal and external teams, focusing on ophthalmology development milestones.

3. Post-Financing Fund & Grant Management

• Partner with the Senior management to provide scientific leadership in investor presentations and fund utilization reports, with emphasis on ocular drug development milestones.

• Prepare and lead scientific responses during technical due diligence with investors, highlighting ophthalmology assets and development risks.

• Lead the preparation and reporting of public grants (e.g., ITC, HKSTP) to support ophthalmology program development and reimbursement milestones.

• PhD in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineering, or related field, with a focus in ophthalmology strongly preferred.

• Minimum 6 years of drug R&D experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical settings, with 2-3+ years leading ophthalmic drug development programs.

• Proven track record of successful IND filings and preclinical development for ophthalmic drugs (topical, IVT, or systemic delivery) preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to manage collaborations with CROs/CDMOs, including ophthalmic CMC and ocular toxicology.

• Hands-on experience with ophthalmology-specific models (e.g., animal models of AMD or DR) and ophthalmic formulation challenges.

• Experience in supporting fundraising and grant applications, including scientific presentation to VC and grant agencies.

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to effectively interface with both scientific and financial stakeholders.
